HOME LIFE IN AMERICA in 40's / Old Illustrations
From the mid-forties the United States Brewers Foundation ran a series of ads in the weekly and monthly consumer magazines to promote beer drinking at home. The ads were called Home life in America and each featured an illustration of white middle-class folks having a good time…thanks to the beverage of moderation. The leading commercial artists of the times were used including Douglas Crockwell (he did seventy paintings) Steven Dohanos, Haddon Sundblom, Mead Schaeffer, John Gannam, Fred Siebel, Pruett Carter, Ray Prohaska, Austin Briggs and Glenn Crober.

future and the sophisticated way of living of the past. Her inspiration
comes from old french movies, people in the 50s and 60s, geometry,
celestial objects (such as stars, nebulae, galaxies),landscapes and
mineralogy. In her work you can see her dreams and maybe the reflection of the paralel universe!

Stepan Zavrel
When I was young I met Stepan in his home. It was an amazing house on a hill, I remember the painted bathroom outside the house into the bush! He was very kindly and show to me and my sister, his school of illustration for young. We were confused because of our future, so distant to reality and now, Stepan isn't there but in the sky and I would like to tell him "thank you for your idea of freedom".

So, this is my job
Well, in these months I've never tell you what's my job. This is a special moment for me because I don't know very well what I would like to do when I'll be adult :-) Oh no, I don't want to say I'm a child who like play with life. I'm a forniture designer but I work for several years in a large fashion company. The job I do is very quick and repetitive, my hands run fast on the mouse for eight/nine hours at day. Compromises, production, costs, speed and the creativity... is fucked up. Sometimes I don't know if is time to change all.
So when I finished and I get home, I forget the fatigue and I dedicate myself to the fun part: Keep my creativity. The job doesn't give you everything, also love, the habit will corrode the soul. It's up to you to take advantage of your ability, take your talent and cultivate it forever cause it can serve you for something better, or to make your life better, your love, your work too.
Work on yourself and then your job will be funny!
This is a small view of what I make everyday at work, I hope you enjoy it!
With love,
Miss Milky

The Big Varnish at Marè
Good morning. Happy Monday! This week I started my collaboration with one of the most exclusive shops of Treviso: Marè Beachwear.
It all started by a good accident, a painting competition, an exibition in all the city's shops, people walking with a map of the city between the fingers. Treviso is a small city near Venice, with the river between the houses, colorful and cool. This is an events created by a group of young people called Prospettive Eccentriche.
"The Big Varnish" paint is at Marè shop. There are sophisticated beachwear and interesting accessories, the look is very nice. Brands of beachwear like Emamò, Agogoa, Scervino, Exnovo, etc. The paint is a dreamy scene of daily life: a girl who puts the varnish in her toe. Out of the jar so many colorful flowers that fill the entire space.
My painting has the same tone of their collections, a fortune and destiny. I'm happy and excited! My passion has always been cultivated dating back to the surface like an exotic fish in the sea.
I must to tell you: believe always in your dreams, cultivate your passions, updated to good news and live positively :-)
Good Luck, Miss Milky
